Man, we are one day away from Week 8. Rivalry Week wraps up the halfway point of the season. Virtual Destruction remains firmly planted in 1st place. Virtual Destruction has never lost a Rivalry Week Game since joining the league in 2024. HORSE WITH NO NAME is also undefeated during Rivalry Week. They also earned their first Rivalry Week High Score Award. Congrats Gary! No team has won more games than the Seahawks. The Hawks won their league leading 15 Rivalry Week game. The Seahawks also won their 4th Rivalry Week Biggest Blowout Award. They lead the league in Blowout Wins. Hoghead snapped a three game losing streak. Hoghead is the 41st team in league history to win at least one Rivalry Week game. Country Beckham Hock just missed recording a Luck Dog Award last week. However, the good news is Country Beckham Hock inched closer to .500 with their 2nd Rivalry Week victory. OJ Hernandez moved up one spot in Rivalry Week Standings. They passed the Sea Pigeons for 3rd place with 11 Rivalry Week wins. The Week 8 Snickers Game of the Week will highlight Seahawks vs Virtual Destruction. The breakdown is courtesy of AI.

🏈 RIVALRY WEEK – THE BATTLES CONTINUE!

THE REST OF THE WEEK 7 MATCHUPS

🏆 Snickers Game of the Week

🟣 PURPLE PEOPLE EATERS 4.00 vs VIRTUAL DESTRUCTION 4.90

**VIRTUAL DESTRUCTION TAKES CONTROL! 90% QUARTER DOMINATION!**

Rivalry Week was all about domination for the winners, and Virtual Destruction certainly got the memo! They controlled four of the six quarters, winning the quarter battle by a commanding 90% margin. The Purple People Eaters had their shining moment in the third quarter, outplaying Virtual Destruction 3.30 to 0.60. C.J. Stroud led the Purple Crew with 2.00 points, giving them their best stretch of the game. Unfortunately, the celebration didn’t last long. Virtual Destruction reclaimed the lead in the following quarter and never looked back. Ashton Jeanty led a group of players with 1.00 point in the fourth quarter as Virtual Destruction secured the victory. The win also moved them past Romo ≥ Tuna Salad into 15th place on the all-time career wins list with 29 victories. Destruction on the field and progress in the record books!

🌽 COUNTRY BECKHAM HOCK 3.10 vs EXTREME DAZE OF MAIZE 2.90

**COUNTRY BECKHAM HOCK GETS THE LAST LAUGH IN A DEFENSIVE SHOWDOWN!**

This one wasn’t exactly an offensive fireworks display! Country Beckham Hock and EXTREME DAZE of MAIZE turned their Week 7 matchup into a defensive struggle from beginning to end. Neither team managed more than two touchdowns, and Country Beckham Hock controlled most of the contest. Maize briefly changed the story in the third quarter, outscoring CBH 2.40 to 1.40 to grab their only lead of the game. But the fourth quarter belonged to Country Beckham Hock. They flipped the script and went on a decisive 2.60 to 0.50 scoring run to close out the game and reclaim control. It wasn’t pretty, but in Rivalry Week, nobody asks how you win. They only ask who won!

🐎 GOTHAMS FINEST 5.00 vs HORSE WITH NO NAME 7.20

**HORSE WITH NO NAME FINDS ANOTHER GEAR IN THE FOURTH!**

Sometimes getting off to a fast start is a blessing, and sometimes it’s a curse. Week 7 turned the usual script upside down, as teams that grabbed early leads generally managed to hold on. HORSE WITH NO NAME was one of three teams that lost a lead in the third quarter only to regain it in the fourth. Gothams Finest enjoyed its best stretch of the game in the third quarter, posting a game-high 3.50 points to take the lead. Unfortunately for the home team, that would be their only lead of the afternoon. HORSE WITH NO NAME answered with an explosive 3.40-point fourth quarter to put the game away for the visitors. The victory brought some history along with it. HORSE WITH NO NAME passed Rocinante for 22nd place in career Rivalry Week scoring with 14.80 points. They also captured the first DirecTV High Score Award in franchise history. Congratulations, Gary! That’s one horse that knows how to finish!

🐦 SEA PIGEONS 6.90 vs HOGHEAD 7.00

**HOGHEAD SURVIVES A SCARE! A 0.10-POINT RIVALRY WEEK THRILLER!**

The Sea Pigeons ran into a Hoghead team that was playing its best football of the season, and the result was the highest-scoring matchup of the week. The teams combined for 13.90 points, but the Sea Pigeons got off to a rocky start and didn’t get on the scoreboard until the third quarter. They made things interesting by outscoring Hoghead 6.00 to 2.00 in the second half, but the late charge came up just short. Hoghead held on for a nail-biting victory and earned its first wire-to-wire win of the season. They’re now tied with Team Squizard and Virtual Destruction for the league lead in wire-to-wire victories. Hoghead also captured the Week 7 Gillette ProGlide Razor Thin Award with a winning margin of just 0.10 points! They become only the fourth team in league history to win a Rivalry Week matchup by that microscopic margin. Somebody get the heart medication!

🏜️ OJ HERNANDEZ 7.00 vs SCOTTSDALE SCORPIONS 5.90

**OJ HERNANDEZ BREAKS OUT OF THE SLUMP! THE ALL-TIME POINTS KING STRIKES BACK!**

The air had been let out of the ball for both teams over the previous two weeks. OJ Hernandez was averaging a season-low 4.85 points, while the Scottsdale Scorpions were struggling even more at 3.85 points per game during the same stretch. Something had to give, and OJ Hernandez finally broke out of its offensive slumber by posting 7.00 points in the victory. The Scorpions also showed signs of life, increasing their offensive output by 53%, but it wasn’t enough to catch OJH. Hernandez never trailed in the contest, with Geno Smith playing a key role in the victory. OJ Hernandez has had to navigate Jackson’s absence by starting three different quarterbacks, but the franchise continues to produce. They remain the league’s all-time leader in points scored with an impressive 136.70. The points king is still on the throne!

⚔️ TEAM SQUIZARD 2.20 vs SEAHAWKS 5.20

**THE FOUNDING FATHERS COLLIDE! SEAHAWKS EVEN THE RIVALRY SERIES!**

You couldn’t script a better way to close out Rivalry Week! Two old foes squared off in the final game of the week, and this was a true battle between founding members. Team Squizard, the Seahawks, and OJ Hernandez all helped establish the league in 2008. The two franchises hadn’t faced each other since 2018, making this only their second Rivalry Week meeting. The game was scoreless heading into the third quarter, but the Seahawks suddenly hit the accelerator. They blitzed Team Squizard 4.00 to 2.10 in the third and never allowed T-Squizzy to threaten again. The Hawks outscored their opponent in every quarter after the third to cruise to a convincing 5.20 to 2.20 victory. The win evened their Rivalry Week series at 1-1-0. The Seahawks also captured the Week 7 Toyota Tundra Biggest Blowout Award with the league’s largest margin of victory. They are now tied with Pamlico for fifth place all-time with 16 Biggest Blowout Awards. Not bad for a couple of founding franchises settling an old score!
