Virtual Destruction and EXTREME DAZE of MAIZE are the only teams left standing with a perfect 2-0 record.  Virtual Destruction ended Team Squizard’s chances at winning their first game of the season with a wire-to-wire win. Virtual Destruction sports the best scoring offense with a total of 15.50 points through two games.  EXTREME DAZE of MAIZE  had to hold on late to secure their 2nd win of the season. Maize won the game in spite of Jaxson Dart leaving the game with 0.00 points. The Scottsdale Scorpions won their first game of the season in fine fashion.  They led all teams in scoring with 9.40 points. Congrats Sean! Three more teams won their first game of the season as well. Country Beckham Hock had a career day scoring 8.90 points. They broke their 2024 scoring record of points scored in a Week 2 game (8.00). Well played Omar! HORSE WITH NO NAME won their first game of the season via the wire-to-wire victory. Congrats on winning your first game of the year Gary. The Seahawks round out the list of teams that won their first game of the season.  The Hawks scored most of their game winning points in the 3rd quarter to take their record to 1-1. Congrats Dub! EXTREME DAZE of MAIZE vs Purple People Eaters

Can the Purple People Eaters duplicate the Week 2 success in the big spotlight Game of the Week? Or will EXTREME DAZE of MAIZE continue their winning ways? This game was a defensive battle between Maize and the Purple Crew. The game had three lead changes with EXTREME DAZE of MAIZE taking an early lead in the 1st quarter. Amon-Ra St. Brown led the team in scoring with 2.00 points. The Purple People Eaters claimed their only lead of the game in the 2nd quarter posting a game high 3.40 points. Joe Cool tossed for two touchdowns in the quarter for the Purple People Eaters. Maize regained the lead after half-time and it was a good thing that they did. Neither team would post another point after the 3rd quarter. The Purple Crew had a chance at the win, but Malik Nabers could not find the end zone in the last quarter of play. EXTREME DAZE of MAIZE moved into a 2-way tie for 10th place with the Ed Hoculi’s Pythons with 8 career Game of the Week victories. Oh, Maize is the winner of the Gillette ProGlide Razor Thin Award. They are ranked 11th all-time with 9 Razor Thin Awards.

Scottsdale Scorpions vs Sea Pigeons

The Scottsdale Scorpions had themself a day. They posted a team best 9.40 in a Week 2 game beating their old mark of 8.10 points set in 2023. The Sea Pigeons had a great day on offense as well posting 8.70 points. The Sea Pigeons have not scored that many points since 2017 where they established a team record of 10.50 points. The Scorpions had a big cushion going into the 5th quarter, but the Sea Pigeons would make it interesting posting a league high 3.90 points, but it would not be enough to secure the win. The Scottsdale Scorpions took home the DirectTV High Score Award with their Week 2 effort. They are ranked 11th all-time with 8 High Score Awards.

Country Beckham Hock vs Gothams Finest 

Country Beckham Hock was clicking on all cylinders last week.  They posted a team best 8.90 points in a Week 2 contest. Gothams Finest could not duplicate their Week 1 success as they suffered their first loss of the season.  They scored in every quarter, but the 5th. The problem was Gothams Finest averaged about 0.78 points a quarter. That would not get the job done against a high flying offense by the name of Country Beckham Hock. CBH was the winner of the Toyota Tundra Biggest Blowout Award with a margin of 5.80 points. They moved past the Snatchshots for 9th place with 11 career Blowout Awards.

Team Squizard vs Virtual Destruction

Virtual Destruction is red-hot. They are winners of 8 consecutive quarters. Team Squizard never snuffed a lead in this game. Team Squizard got close outscoring Virtual Destruction 5.50 to 0.20. The difference in the game was the first quarter. Virtual Destruction put up a league high 5.00 points to cruise to a wire-to-wire victory. They landed in the Top 5 for a second week in a row scoring 7.60 points. They are in a drive for 300 career points. Virtual Destruction needs 16.50 points to become the 16th team in league history to score over 300 points.

 HORSE WITH NO NAME vs OJ Hernandez

HORSE WITH NO NAME never trailed in their game with OJ Hernandez. Both teams made short work of their scoring opportunities. HORSE WITH NO NAME day of scoring was over in the 2nd quarter. OJH posted the last score in the next quarter. OJ Hernandez had a shot at winning, but two of their starters on offense could not find the end zone giving HORSE WITH NO NAME a wire-to-wire victory. HORSE WITH NO NAME moved past xocnz, a founding member of the league, for 39th place with 7 career wins. They need 7.90 points to cross 100 points. HORSE WITH NO NAME will become the 27th team in league history to score over 100 points.

Hoghead vs Seahawks

Hoghead held another lead for 2 quarters only to lose the lead in the 3rd quarter. Last week it was OJ Hernandez tripping up Hoghead in the 3rd quarter. The Seahawks completed the same feat this week against Hoghead. Hoghead could not get their offense to focus on the task at hand. Their day of scoring was over at halftime. The Seahawks would take full advantage of that fact.  They posted a game high 3.90 points in the 3rd quarter to take the lead. A lead in which they would not relinquish.  The Hawks closed the game out scoring 0.10 points in the 5th quarter to earn their first win of the season.
